Who we are.
Studyglot is a subscription web application. Contact: support@studyglot.com.
What we collect.
(a) Account data (your email and authentication data); (b) documents you upload (such as textbook and syllabus files) and the study outputs generated from them; (c) usage and technical data (log data and page-quota usage).
How we use it.
To operate the service: extract text from your documents, generate notes, glossary, and gap analysis, and manage your quota and subscription.
Service providers (subprocessors).
To provide the service, your content and data are processed by third parties acting on our behalf, and each processes data under its own terms and security commitments.
Where your data is stored.
Studyglot's database and file storage are hosted in Singapore. Some of the service providers described above process data in other regions.
International transfers.
Your data may be processed in the regions where these providers operate.
Retention.
We keep your account, your documents and the results we generate from them for as long as your account exists. The file you upload is deleted from our storage once we have finished processing it successfully; if processing fails, we keep the file so you can retry. Deleting a course removes its notes, glossary, gap analysis and uploaded file straight away. Deleting your account removes everything immediately and permanently, with no waiting period and no undo. Afterwards we keep only de-identified processing-cost figures, which carry no name, email, document or content, and a security audit record of account actions. We also keep a one-way hashed form of the email address you signed up with — never the address itself, and not reversible to it — used only to prevent the same person from repeatedly claiming a new free trial by deleting and recreating accounts. You can delete a course or your whole account at any time from within the app, or email support@studyglot.com.
Your rights.
You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your data by emailing support@studyglot.com.
Security.
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your account, and your documents and outputs are private to your account.
Changes.
We may update this policy and will post the updated version here.
